Awake

I should probably have a much cleverer blog for my return to blogging after the long, computerless hiatus and given the fact that Mike and I are in the midst of a completely new life.

Right now, Mike and I are BOTH working on computers. Mine is on loan from my mom and is a laptop that has to be plugged in at all times. But, I have the luxury of getting to check email on a computer rather than on my phone. Fun until you have a long response to write. Mike is currently choosing Christmas music. For our church. In North Carolina. Where we live.

Of the five people I know who read this blog, I believe all of you know that we now live in North Carolina, having moved here the first of this month. But in the event someone in cyberspace didn't know, Mike is now the Associate Pastor of Worship and Music at First Baptist Church Asheboro, NC. If you feel like taking a look at their website, you'll see many of the things we love about the church and what we get to take part in. If you don't have time, way to have better things to do! :)

There is a long story about God's leading us to this church and this town that begins over a year ago. I'll have to save that for another blog, but we are here and we are getting situated, all while enjoying colder weather, multicolored trees, mountains, and new friends. God is faithful and we are so thankful to Him for His guidance and provision and the honor we have to serve Him. He alone is worthy!

  2. Wow! I will be praying for both of you and your transition. We know a little about that new life thing, too! Mike and I just moved to Hernando, MS where he is the Minister of Spiritual Development.

    Hope you are enjoying it!
