(PS - If you know me, this is so NOT typical! I tease my husband for taking pictures of landscapes and nature, insisting that I only want pictures "with someone I love" in it. Oh, how circumstances change.)
This is our cute little house, taken the last week in September, about a week before we moved in. Notice the big tree in the upper left corner... That is some type of maple and the same tree that is in most of the following photos.

These are some that I took probably the second or third week. It was breathtaking - the different colors of the leaves against the piercing blue of the sky. Same tree...from the car window.

Also from the car window... This is about a week and a half ago.
And this was last week. The tree now has almost no leaves on it. I'm on our porch here.
This is our neighborhood. It is a "walking" neighborhood - perfect for me! On this day, I was walking around, listening to Anne of Green Gables, and the leaves were raining on me. It was ...well, "magical" is as close as I can get here. I now go walking and literally pray for a gust of wind when I come to a tree that is losing leaves!

Absolutely stunning! Congrats on your move! Enjoy every moment of those glorious bright leaves!
ReplyDeleteso jealous of your gorgeous fall!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I wonder if the excitement will change when someone has to rake those leaves! Also, we have one the only non-pear trees on the street - and the only tree that changes colors during the fall. It may be small, but it's a brilliant firey red today!
ReplyDeletektbee!!! i downloaded anne of green gables to my phone awhile back. i read it when i have to wait at doctors' offices, the post office, etc. :) knowing you're listening to it is *almost* enough to make me forget about the time zones...
ReplyDeleteThat last picture makes me happy. :) Enjoy your leaves. We are getting "rained" on daily by tiny, yellowed live oak leaves. I like to consider them a nuisance, since I have to sweep them off our porches and deck weekly, but really, they are a reminder that life is good if you have trees...and even if you don't.
