I am not ugly to people. Especially not out loud and certainly not to strangers. I listen to telemarketers' spiels before politely declining. I once gently refused a kiosk offer and the employee followed me a little ways to tell me "thank you" for being "classy" about it. Twice I have been pulled over, thanked for my courtesy, and left with a warning. Maybe I could attribute this to good upbringing, conviction. Mostly, I don't have the nerve to be rude. Until now.
I just told US Airways - an actual, physical representative - that their policy is "ridiculous." It has been that sort of day.
I feel better now. And Mike's calling them back.
